Eat Paint Series

Eat Paint – Painted Skate Deck Series

The Eat Paint series was the second set of painted skateboard decks I ever made, following the Pink Moon Series. Unlike Pink Moon, this series was the first to gain wider attention online. I promoted the decks on Instagram with boosted ads and started to see real reactions — many of the people who still support my art today picked up one of these. For a lot of those early followers, Eat Paint is considered my “first” series.

The name comes from Vincent van Gogh, who was said to have eaten paint during his darker periods. While the decks don’t carry his style, I was heavily inspired by his story and the raw emotion behind it. Each deck was painted while I was living in my brother’s attic, a time when I was still figuring out what Kaba Skateboards could be.

Eat Paint stands as an early milestone in Kaba’s history, marking the moment my work began to connect with a real community.
