So I’m on the train, in Tokyo, heading towards some place. I need to get my part time work permit and that requires me visiting a government building. I’m listening to Nick Drake and today feels very good. Like a warmth to the air type good. If you’re unfamiliar with Nick, here you go…

apologies it’s through YouTube Music, I’ve probably already explained why I use this streaming service compared to Shopify but it boils down to… I watch a lot of YouTube so by paying for YouTube premium I get zero ads, I can download videos to watch later, I don’t have to have my phone open to listen to videos, and I get this music feature.
hmm where was I. Yes, I’m on a train heading towards shinagawa. I don’t know the names of places yet. To be honest I don’t know the name of many things here. The language is proving more difficult to follow than I expected. I failed my mid term for language school on Friday and damn it felt bad. I just don’t study very well I suppose. Regardless, I’m in the country now which is a major plus.
so I’m going to a government building to talk about getting my work permit. I don’t have any new money coming in, having had left my farm job with my brother. I’m hoping I can make some money out here soon or I’ll be heading home in a few months…
