Some mornings I need to hear the nostalgia of my childhood. Thank you older brother for showing this soundtrack to me all those years ago. Added bonus, it's a loop with rain sounds.
I've been house-sitting for a friend the last week. For anyone who's not familiar, house-sitting is when you literally stay at someones house and live in their skin. You get paid and it's kind of great.
Every morning at this house I find myself waking in a cold sweat, due in part to these many habits of mine, and also due to the fact that AC and myself have never gotten along. My body has a tendency to over-estimate its heat production in order to survive and therefore we get these sweats. At least I don't piss the bed.
This place I'm watching is beautiful in familiar ways. There are chickens in the backyard that wake me up at 5:45 every morning (I actually enjoy it). The kitchen is a classic western furnish, complete with the 90's white box fridge. The living room and dining are shared, much like a simple home.
All day yesterday, I spent indoors. I painted the new series of skate decks and I started work on Facebook ads. I'd like to build hype for this release and get more people interested in the doings over here at Kaba.
It's strange, I remember the night of the 23rd I said how fast the day had gone. Now it's the 26th and time has gone even faster. I suppose that happens when you're in the pocket of what you love, working with no distractions.
